Junior Teams - Part of the City of Sheffield Basketball Club (COSBC)

Sharks Abroad

Will Hall and Nigel van Oostrum are currently playing for the International Colonials (http://www.newenglandcolonials.net), travelling from town to town and State to State. Their team is now 7-3, and after a shaky start, they are on a 4-game winning streak. Their travel and games are taking them to:
Walpole, MA; Boston, MA; Rutland, VE; Burlington VE; Brattleboro, VE; Holden MA; Barre, MA; York, Maine; Groton, MA; Rindge, MA (Franklin & Pierce University Team Camp); Sutton, MA; and finally back to Walpole, MA. They will play at least 21 games. Nigel and Will return on the 18th of July.

The Sheffield Junior Sharks and New England Colonials first met at the Flanders Tournament in Gent, Belgium, August 2007. In a terrific U18 semi-final match, the Junior Sharks were the only team to inflict defeat on the touring American team.

The New England Colonials (the American selection team from New England) will be visiting Sheffield August 15, 16, and 17, and will play games against the U18 Sheffield Junior Sharks, and also participate in a tournament with the Junior Sharks, Solent Kestrels, and Reading Rockets. Keep tuned to this website for more information.

The International Colonials team is a truly diverse bunch, with players from all over Europe:
