Saints give opponents a 20 point start and then try to win – result inevitable

The game was effectively over after a first quarter where a pumped up Stockport overwhelmed the sluggish Saints 32 – 11.Although the Sheffield boys fought hard and at one point managed to get the deficit back to 11 points, Stockport have too much fire power to be given a 20 point start and then lose a game such as this.

A disappointing performance from the Saints, who need to quicken up on offence (58 points won’t beat most teams in the league) and be ready to play from the off, not take a quarter to adjust to the pace of the opponents.
