Junior Teams - Part of the City of Sheffield Basketball Club (COSBC)
In a disappointing performance, Saints eventually overcame a battling Sefton team who have yet to record a win in this season’s competition. The game was punctuated by a series of individual errors by Saints. Poor passing, missed defensive assignments were regular features that allowed Sefton to stay in a game that should have been much more comfortable for the Saints. This level of performance will not be good enough to beat stronger teams.

Trafford 69 Junior Saints 71 (after overtime)
The next day Saints travelled to Manchester to play Trafford in the cup. As with all Manchester teams the game was physical and intense. However Saints executed well in the first two quarters and held a 13 point advantage at half time. The second half was an entirely different story, with Saints struggling to score and Trafford gradually clawing their way back into the game. With under one minute to play Trafford held a 3 point advantage. Dennis Kaka’s 3 pointer tied the game and set up 5 minutes of overtime where Saints gained a quick advantage and then through a series of (further) bad decisions did their best to hand the game back to their opponents. Fortunately Saints had just enough to hold on for a very close win.
Leading scorers; C Faulkner 9; D. Kaka 18; C. Deans 22
